"Oh, the sweet smell of lilies; they rejuvenate the soul"
Lilies were my mothers favorite flower. The sweet smell rejuvenates the soul...
"I am my mothers daughter, this I know, like the lilies of the field; I will flourish and grow"

I am my mothers daughter

Walk with me on this journey…

My life is an open book, “What you see, is what you get.”  Love, transparency, honesty, compassion, loyalty, and optimism; I am “A work in progress.” Sometimes a restless, educated hot-head, but my heart is ALWAYS in the right place. The middle child with a curious and creative soul, a vivid imagination, and a romantic heart that concur with the British poet, Alfred Lord Tennyson,  “Tis Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.” A unique and philosophical mind; “Oh, how I yearn to learn,” and so I continue, I continue, like a fine red wine, I get better with time. “Yeah, yeah, yeah… I am my mothers daughter, this I know, like Lilies of the field, I will continue to flourish and grow.”

I dedicate this poem to my mother; the woman who profoundly impacted my existence.  Mom was a pillar of strength, and gave a formidable fight to cancer, but sadly passed on November 19, 2013. She was 79. Ironically, I lost Mayday my Cocker Spaniel on November 19, 2011.  Different year, same day, but both are here in spirit; guardian angels in my life, to protect me on my journey!

I love you Fatty, and Mayday…forever and more!” J
